AIS is now recruiting International Teachers for the 2010-11 school year. Those interested in applying for positions are to submit a one page resume with current contact information (telephone number and email address) for three referees. This should include the present supervisor.

International Teachers’ Requirements:

• Native speakers of English
• Degree/s from an accredited Western University
• Teaching license or certification from the United States or Canada (Some exceptions are made for teachers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Great britain)
• A clear police record
• Free from any contagious or debilitating disease.
• Less than sixty years of age (Kuwait Ministry restriction)

1.   HS IT/Computer Science
2.   MS Design Technology
3.   Literacy Coach (Expertise in Elementary/Middle School literacy and reading).
4.   Elementary Music (General)

AIS will be represented at all ISS and many SEARCH job fairs throughout the recruiting season. We will also be in attendance at the Queens University Fair in Kingston and the UNI fair in Iowa. We prefer to meet candidates in advance of the fairs through distance interviews and then to use the fairs to finalize contract offers.
