The Middle School educates and nurtures students in Grade 6-8. The AIS Middle School staff is committed to caring for Middle School students, including respecting their concerns, igniting their intellectual curiosity and engaging them in meaningful educational experiences that will prepare them for promising futures.
Middle School is designed to meet the developmental needs of young adolescents and to bridge the transition from Elementary School to High School. We work with the energy, enthusiasm and natural curiosity of emerging adolescents while, at the same time, providing the guidance and structure they need to make a successful transition to High School.
We believe that open and timely communication with parents is essential in helping our students succeed. Toward this end, the Middle School teachers use the following websites in order to provide information and detailed homework assignments.

We publish a Parent Handbook each year to facilitate communication. Please download a copy or pick one up in the Middle School office.
We hold a variety of events during the school year, including parent Diwaniyas, 3-way and student-led conferences, and arts and sporting events. Please feel welcome to attend these events and to contact the school at any time if you have a question.
