How do I apply?
Teachers who meet these requirements should email a resume, maximum two pages, with a brief cover letter to superintendent@aiskuwait.org citing the number for the position. The resume must include the names, telephone numbers, and email addresses of three references including your most recent supervisor. Qualified applicants for current openings will receive a response.
Can I apply in anticipation of a future opening?
Queries are welcomed from qualified applicants at any time throughout the year. We may not respond immediately, but applications from those meeting the qualifications will be kept on file.
What job fairs do representatives of the school attend?
Representatives of AIS Kuwait attend all International School Services (ISS) job fairs as well as many SEARCH associate fairs. This year we will be represented at SEARCH fairs in London and Toronto and possibly others later in the season. We are also represented at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) fair in Waterloo, Iowa as well as the Teachers’ Overseas Recruitment Fair (TORF) at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.
Do you do distance hiring?
Yes. Distance hiring is done although we prefer to meet teachers directly. Teachers seeking jobs at a distance may bolster their applications through personal Websites.
Do you hire teaching couples with children?
Yes. We actively recruit teaching couples with children. The International teaching staff is an almost even mixture of singles and married couples. This year we have eighteen International teaching couples with accompanying dependent children.
Do you hire teachers with a non-teaching spouse?
No.
Do you hire teaching interns?
Yes. We occasionally hire beginning teachers as interns.
